Oh hahaha, they're pretty shitty, nothing worth bragging about and I never got any proper certificate or anything from 6th form, just a piece of paper with grades which anyone can make
that is defrauding the system. not declaring your A levels to get something for free is defrauding the system. I get you don't want to pay or cant affor to but theres always ways around stuff like that without defrauding the system.
My only options would be to sign on, get a loan or leave college. Those my only choices. If my parents were claiming benefits it'd all be free but they don't claim a penny
Cant they give you help with the funding and the only reason you've not got certificates is cuz you gotta apply and pay for them (mrs has a levels just asked her and shes still waffling on about it)
still a legal way around it without signing on/getting loan, going to send you some info via pm. im a tutor so can give you a bit of advice about the choices you really do have now.
I got support funding which cut my fees down but still had to pay the tuition fees, the student advisor said sign on and it'll be paid for and she told other students to do it too so I just did what she said. Thanks scootz would appreciate the help for when I start my level 3 as I don't want to be worrying again if I can do my course
Actually have you spoken to job centre about potential courses they've got they don't advertise them but can get you on them Cant an apprenticeship offer you the qualifications and you'll get paid what's the training in if you dont mind me asking
Funnily enough I've asked them about this, especially with apprenticeships. Their response was, go on apprenticeship.org. Honestly that's all they said, didn't want to help whatsoever. Currently training in brickwork and over halfway through my level 2 qualification
I'm in Norfolk. I looked on there but there was nothing near me. I've signed up to an apprenticeship site which is all construction based. It's called bconstructive. So hopefully that'll be a lot better. I already have my cscs card so I'm ready to go work on site too
That's what I'm now starting to do as I have my card but work is thin atm, so hopefully will pick up a lot more in coming months
Even if you go on as a labourer and just learn that way get in with a company get to know real sites (cscs is so easy to pass even i passed...but not much like any site Ive been on )
I plan on that or an apprenticeship. Hopefully I'll get the apprenticeship, yeah cscs was so so easy, don't know how you could fail it tbh
I went on 3 day course and by end of 1st day I was hitting 95%+ but still had to attend or they couldnt fund the card itself but seriously sites are much different to the test I swear if everything was to go by the book exactly how cscs card teaches you nothing would ever get done
