    Hiya all.

I have got a polini exhaust, and i would like it chromed to make it look nicer and protect it against rusting.

Are the any downsides to having it chromed such as decreasing performance or maybe making it more brittle ?

    Many thanks

    Ricky

    Nah not really.

I will pop over to get a quote tomorrow, but the guy said they will polish it and chrome it for between £50 and £100 depending on size.

Bonus for me is the place has contracts with triumph so should know what they are doing.

but would it not be harder to chrome the exhaust as u only want the outside chromed and not all the inside?

cant...more like dont like to coz it contaminates their cleaning vats

If you go for chrome, make sure they polish it well...see some that they've done before.

Chroming is all about preparation and any slightest mark will show in the finished item ;)
