    hey man...

if you have to buy a new carb anyway, get something bigger like a 21mm :)

    Yeah would get a 21 or a 24mm carb
Also how many miles it done? might be risky running a 70 on a standard crank but I am not sure how powerfull that kit is
One thing you deffo need to add is a stage 6 clutch or at the very least some new stronger clutch springs in my view

21 not be a bit overkill for this setup?

Well First update in a while as i wasnt bothered too much over christmas and then the snowfall made me want to stay indoors
but ive put in a few hours today so i thought id post some pictures

[IMG] sanded, filled, the thing i was using to spread had a bit of hard filler left on it meaning it didnt all end up perfectly smooth so i cleaned it and skimmed a very light coat of filler over the imperfections and such of the last coat and now it looks very nice, will probabaly call that section ready for some primer with a wet sanding of somthing light like 400 grit.(no im not going back to bare metal bit ill oprobabaly primer the whole bike anyway)

next up is the back end of the scooter
[IMG] nothing needed to be done here but i decided to fill in the body seam anyway to give the scoot a more streamlined look, took the pic before sanding the bottom section, and it willl need quiet a bit because as you can see the layer of filler is a bit too thick

an irish reg plate for anyone who cares. 01 is the year and D is where it was registered (Dublin)
if anyone knows how to get this mudguard off let me know because im stumped.

the part of the scoot im least looking forward to doing as its a bit of a mess.

and finally a couple of pictures of the other dents.

mudguard comes off from the inside.. there are 4 little holes at the bottom of the metal bit ... may have to take the seat inner/fuel tank shield off (under the seat obv)

those dents all look verry familuar for a vespa LOL remember to use a nice round peice of wood and a hammer to remove them. (broom handle works well if you cut 8" off the end an use the round bit) dont just bung them full of filler as it will just fall out...

roll on the good weather, will soon have mine spray'ds an rollin :D keep it up m8, good to see some more of these finally being modded

well the past 2 days has seen me working on my polo because my cousin said he will buy it if i respray the bumper,

[IMG] how it looks repaired after the crash.

i dont have a picture of the finished job yet because paint is still drying and whatnot, me and dad sprayed it in 2 afternoons (1 of which was a strong enough breeze) outdoors, plus neither of us had done any proper painting before but there wasnt any dust because it had been raining, its all done now bar a final coat on the bumper but the grille surround is done. painted matte black like i will be doing with the et2, which is why i am showing this.

there is some minor orange peel.

going to be doing the et2 in a shed and taking time to do it so with this looking good enough (and i thought it would be much worse) i reckon i could get the et2 looking very good(plus ill have help from a friend)i dont expect it to be perfect though since painting the bumper was the first thing ive ever painted car wise, i promise pics of the finished product.

bit off topic really... but wiht orange peal, aslong as the paints not flaking/reacting you can just keep building the layers then do some 1000 wet and dry once its all dry, this gets it all nice an flat, then go to 1500 and then go to cutting compound (go fucking gental wiht the paper mind and use LOTS of water) will soon buff flat... if however its metalic your best bet is leave the peal, spray clear over it then flat the clear, metalic's tend to go real patchy/stripey when you wet sand them.

not much of an update, beeen doing more sanding and knocked most of the dentage out but there not shallow enough to be filled just yet.

still undecided on what size carb to go for, any more input on that?

and more importantly. sourced a gianelli reverse from her for 100 sterling to my door. :yahoo:

the carb i have ordered for this says "with oil/low pressure connection"

does this mean i could skip the oil pump adjustment altogether and route my 2stroke through the carb like other things ive worked on?

no man.. that will be where the oil gets pumped into.
you will still need the oil pump (and metering) unless you want to go premix.

Original plan was matte black and not much has changed since then, had a few other ideas though in the process but still thinking like the one in the youtube video on the first post.

matt black is only cool if you cant paint... its a cop out. only people who paint there bike matt black are those who cant do a decent paint job.. simple as really LOL

dont do it.. all that body work deserves showing off... you cant show off flat curves with no shine... matt black looks like your hiding somthing :)

Finished priming today, shes ready for wetsand and paint now but im having a tough time deciding on a paint color. matte black with the chrome vespa badge and other highlights was the plan but minor kinda has me wanting somthing else now.
