Im not replacing a bike that already has long MOT and is insured for a year yet Im not throwing money away buying a spares bike because I have nowhere to keep a 2nd bike and nowhere to keep all the extra spares weve got our eye on a engine but as i already said it got to wait until end of next month til i get paid to do it because i need a car more than the scooter now Im not stupid I already have a plan for sorting it out

 

if you got time fella, drop the cylinder head, stick the piston at BDC, pull up the cylinder and give it a check, could be just the rings gone and the bore is still good, will be around £15 upwards for a piston ring kit , then its just having time to fit new rings.

if the bore is scored out you maybe able to get a quick skim on it and fit a 125cc + 1mm oversized piston , will save you a lotta time fitting a new motor, i can also ask my local(ish) breakers if he has a elyseo cylinder in good nick, then put you in contact with him ( im sure he would post said unit upto you guys ).

 

Engine wil lstill have to come out to replace the rings anyway as there not enough space to do it while its in the frame
Id love to try fixing it but really dont have the knowledge or time just now to try with work and other hobbies i have and gf moaning i dont spend enough time with her i have 3 days off at the end of next month so ill buy a used motor but check the compression first and swap it in in those 3 days then I might tear into the engine thats in there when i get spare time and see what happened maybe slowly get parts to rebuild it just so i have spare motor waiting Im going to drop the oil and filter tonight to see if theres any coolant/metal in the oil atleast this whole thing will make for good projectt thread lol

 

fairly sure thats not normal hose pipe above petcock secured with hose clamp
