A bit of a coincidence seeing this on here as same happened to mine this morning on the way to work, coming out of a junction but my throttle back and it just died slowly, started back up first time and when I use the throttle gently rather than slamming it straight back it seemed to be ok. Me an my papa come to the conclusion it is definitely something blocking the fuel flow so we are going to clean the carb and replace fuel filter and hoses. Will post the outcome
So yeah, i got on my Kymco pulsar 125 scooter, full throttle down the road.. and the bike has sort of powered down... obviously i was a bit confused.. and my first thoughts were there's a full tank of petrol couldn't have blown a piston already i just put oil in.. etc.. so it must be the battery.. the battery the bike was starting up, then every time i'd give it some throttle i would power down.. eventually that battery died... so i go get a new battery... bike start again but same problem.. so i put my ear to the bike and follow the sounds... it was almost spiritual... i remove the seat.. and i find the carb.. i start the engine and give some throttle.. i put my hand in front of the open hole.. at different distances... the bike starts up!! amazingly so i figure there must have been an air filter there.. i look in my old 50cc scooter and pull out that filter.. doesn't fit so i scrap out the circumference until it does.. i'm about to ride that bike now and go see if i can find the 125cc filter if it has dropped out somewhere.. Just wish my nose wasn't so damn blocked....
…..I know the feeling. Plenty of honey and lemon mate, works a treat. If not I find a mcdonalds usually helps
