    what mainjet is in there, what needle position, i didnt look to be fair.

    is the radiator getting hot? reeds?

    i can guess exactly what this is tbh, but lets try everything else first?

    Main jet is 102, havent checked needle yet but will do tommorow.
    Radiators fine, and checked the reeds there fine too.

    Yeh I was thinking it might be that. :(
    Im hoping it isnt.

    Yep just checked it, its fine.

    Im thinking it might be the oil.
    theres a huuuge bubble in the oil pipe so gona try and bleed it now if that dont work ill use premix until it clears.

    Running on premix and bike wont even start now, just coughing and spluttering.

    i set the idle mix on this.. wont be idle curtcit.. drop the needle (clip on the top noptch if its not already...) if not ima have to come up and take it off for ya... i stand by my work and knew to just not use that kit.. so ye, replacemnt is down to you know who obviously (if it hasent cooked your seals) and ill come fit a new one/125 for nothing, you paid me to do a job afterall ;)

    what have we all learnt about second hand 172's? more to the point POORLY ported 172 kits :confused: WTF are some people thinking? :confused:

    i can get you a 172 kit

    my mate had it for a week and sold his bike and the guy who he sold it to put a 125 kit on and sold the bike and kept the 172 , its done 800 miles max . wants £150 for it.

    I havent had time to change the needle down yet but will defo tommorow.
    Cheers mate :), hopefully someone will loan me some cash and i'll get a brand new one.

    Na thanks ryan defo not buying a used one again but cheers anyway.

    Changed the needle like minor said and retested the spark plug and the spark was all over the place. So got another new spark plug and its working ok now. Oil isnt pumping through still though so going to try and sort that out by saturday.

    Looking at getting a better clutch next as the front leaves up in the first few minutes of running it but once its warm it wont lift.

    isnt that caused by jetting? (when its warm dont lift?)

    all bikes are quicker when theyre cold, whats wrong with it lifting anyway?

    ye sounds more idle mix/choke related.. its a 25 tho and i did set the mix cold so will probably be a little rich (hence slightly better when warm) try it a quarter turn ion form where its set... if its worse work it out a half turn.... plug gap to .27 (there usually set to .32 out the box)

    it is a drag tho, there made to put the power down an not lift. hence the name
