Has anyone tried a downdraft diaphragm type carb on a scoot?

It would flow into the reeds much better and you could pull a shitload of length out of the inlet tract.

I have seen some very nice Ibea, Tryton and baroni Kart carbs online today.

yes, alot of people use kart carbs simply because there screw type setup (most anyway) and give great responce (as you know)but if your after top end power purely then a d/flatslide carb is the way to go (stock rd carbs rule) other than that the main reason people use dells is as there direct replacment and parts are widely avalable (jets slides float's/bowls and the like) where as mikuni/keihin are harder to setup aswell as get jets/needles in the first place. also malossi/polini do kits and "if its malossi itz da best blud"

the koso/bgm/stage6 pwk copies are ok but there still COPYS so will need playing about with to get right (venturi is never smooth and usually slightly the wrong angle) also there alot harder to setup than real ones. dut dells are pritty tidy usually altho REAL keihin/mikuni's are great if you can get one.
