Thanks, got few questions to ask, thats all, instead of waiting for replys/clogging up forum

well no... you wait for a reply as its a free forum and lots of people come on to help people asking nothing in return.. wait your turn or pay me to fix your bike/talk you through stuff one to one

get the 4.7/4.9's... make sure the restrictor is actually removed and upjet to a 60 (or somthing close) should work fine.

I have 4.7's still no difference, all restrictors are removed, end can and downpipe and variator.

    Other questions i got:

Over the past couple of days *Got standard pipe and standard rollers back in* bike seems to be randomly bogging if i pull throttle quick, especially if im on a hill, Is this the standards rollers worn? Or is it the spark plug, as i didnt jet it when i put the doppler on whilst toying with it, maybe plug has fouled.

    What am i better doing?

Buying a Leo Vince TT as i don't want a 70s kit or anything, just want a pipe, looks better than the 'Bus Pipe' as my mate calls it that i have now (Piaggio Fly/Zip Pipe)

    Or keeping the Doppler?

hmm, sounds like idle mixture is off if its bogging slightly as you off and on the thorottle quickly.. keep the dopler.. there one of the best sport pipes out there (work well on stock 50's too) i dont get why its not running right....

youve got the exhaust on, rollers and jet in.. ANY other mods? (no silly open filter or anything?)

No i havent got a Jet, My dad doesn't want to mess with it, he's a mechanic, and knows what he is doing, but he doesnt want to mess up my bike, as its mine, if it was his it would be a different story :good:

I had, The Doppler on, tried 5.3gr Polini 19x15.5's and still the same, revv'ed huge boost then bogged, no power, had to push home, got some 4.7s as you reccomended, still the same, boost and pushed home, chucked the standard pipe on, with the 4.7's, stuck at 20mph, and again, had to be pushed home.

I thought, If i jetted it, and then had standard pipe on for whatever reason, it would be running too rich and just be more problems.

    Any ideas? Fooking ped! :beee:

ye deffo bigger jet... just as a QUCIK test... use 4 of the 4.7 rollers (take 2 OPPOSIT rollers out) and just try it quick... this should be SILLY light on the rollers = all revs and not really accelerating... this will show up a jetting problem aswell as a roller issue at the same time..

sounds a shitty thing to say, but i could sort it in 10 mins wiht a box of jets, a small flathead and a few sets of rollers. fact is i live near bristol and only come to london these days to pick my daughter up every couple weeks... nowhere near you tho so it doesent help.

all you can do is set everything back to stock and go from there.

Wish i had your knowledge :yahoo:

Yeah, everything is standard at the minute, Standard rollers, standard pipe, So this bogging issue (i think its bogging) i pull back throttle and engine sorta dies, then i panic, cos there are cars behind me, and i need to slowly open throttle and it builds up, any ideas?

I want to get some new rollers, new standard weight ones as i think mine are worn, they are the standard orangey coloured ones, and they are all black from being old ( i guess )

I sound like a 10 year old, but ill be the first throwing the toys out the pram when it packs up, i dont understand this stoof, Minor Confusion is a legend :amen:

ajust the idle mixture (small screw on the side of the carb) literally wind it half a turn out, if this doesent make it better set it back to where it was, now go half a turn in, if theres still no joy put it back where it was and move on...

it sounds like your carb is full of shit/incorrect float/fuel tap isnt working.. its strange for an engine to not run completly standard so id start assuming whatever is causing this is what has been causing your innital problem wht the pipe

have yo dne ANYTHING else tothis bike? (taken bits off, drilled holes in the airbox, anythig even small?) have you try'd a new plug? could be lots of things but like i said, if your having a problem wiht an engine with stck parts somthings probably broke at the same time youve fitted the pipe, that or theres modifications were not aware of...

~I can take a few pictures of the bike if wanted?

Nope, as far as im aware, completely standard, people talk about a brass plate on airbox, where is this as i cant see one, so this may of been removed?

Variator washer has been removed, does 40-50 on flat, so pipe is still restricted im guessing.

I thought it could possibly be the plug has fouled, i haven't taken it out yet, i will need to, i got given another plug from the previous owner,i thought maybe as the bike wasnt jetted when i bolted the pipe on, the mixture obv goes a bit screwwy, so maybe my plug is covered in soot/oil/shit.

look, if you got a plug off the old owner throw it in the bin, plugs go from your engine straight in the bin and are replaced with new items.. never re use an old plug, they collect allsorts of shit that will soon drop off/melt inside a running enigne.

smack in a new plug (they run a br8es altho a br9es would be better suited to a derestricted bike wiht a pipe) this should cure any problems you have wiht the stock engine, if you cant get the stock engine running right with ALL stock parts and the BOOK figures for roller weight/jetting then somthing else is causing you problems..

first things first, new plug... get it running right as a stock bike.
