right, ordered my water pump kit today, obviously im going to have to strip and re-build the engine, what other parts shall i order?
when i go to pick up the water pump kit im going to order a full gasket set.
what else shall i get? might aswell do the bits now that have to strip it down again in a few weeks
are you planning on doing this yourself? as if so you will be needing a new crank in na coujple weeks..
not trying to get at anyone trying to build there first engfine, but if you have to ask what bits you need you obviously havent read enuff about building engines to attempt one.. anyone can bolt somthing together.. theres ALOT more to it than that.
waterpump, gasgets, silicone sealant, new var/flywheel nuts. new engine bolts if there not stainless.. id use stainless barrel studs too as they tend to rust on the wc's...
couple bits here an there wouldent go a miss but im sure you will see whats needed when you struip it
ive seen pictures on the dutch scooter forums of how to fit the cranks, it seems pretty ok if you take your time and buy all new renewables, heat cases up etc...
only thing that concerns me sometimes is like the timing of the crank and the ignition system, how could I go about learning how to do this (any 2 stroke books you reccomend? etc..)

this might stupid but couldnt you just take a picture once the crank case has been split, and remember what position the standard crank was in, like a tiny pensil line where the shaft ended before you removed it? :emb:
