    Hi
    Do I need a malossi multivar ?
    I have piaggio zip
    Lv touring exhaust
About to fit malossi sport 70.

Looking for bit more power and acceleration with good reliability
    Used for daily commute
A couple of hills there and back.

I already have the multivar and am thinking of returning it.

I think I remember reading somewhere that the minerelli gets more benefit when replaced not the piaggio?

I have them on a Minarelli. Franco Morini and a Piaggio/gilera runner engines, massive improvement over stock

You’ll have to go lighter on the rollers that come with the kit tho, if you have a 70kit

What size is the gilera motor? 200?

Yes you will have improvment in top speed and acceleration and take off, its better than stock.

Great experience here with the Malossi on an ET2, probably the best mod I’ve done so far.

Ok, so I did not fit the multi var. I returned it.
Surely top speed is limited by gears and wheel size given enough engine power?
    Is it more adjustability ?
I have good acceleration, and top speed is reached more or less without trying to blow it up.

I believe its the ramp the sliders glides in. That Have different angles relative to stock. Giving it a preferable output

Yeah as rik says, it's the taper of the pully, I've never studied one, but it's different from stock

It has bigger rollers , different angle different longer ramps its just much better compared to stock.

    Oh well, maybe next time.
Tweaking the acceleration, and launch I guess is personal preference.
Im happy with the way the piaggio zip stock performs.
I would be interested to hear from anyone with stock zip vs multivar experience.
I get the Yamaha stock upgrade to high speed pulleys. Serious difference there.

It’s a improvement on any/all bikes, you wouldn’t look back once fitted. I have purchased 5 in my life time.
That should tell you all you need to know lol
