Hi there, I found the other day my air to fuel mixture screw had threaded after putting the float bowl in, I ordered a new oneand inserted it and it went to thread again upon further inspection one of the float bowl screws is pertruding through the wall of the thread in the hole the mixture screw goes in. does this seem like a manufacturing fault to anyone? have emailed ped parts but they usually take a day or 2 to reply! cheers
out to richen I believe! But the thing is damaged, I'm un able to rev the bike fully as it will bog down after a few seconds and cant change mixture really.
the damage is already done to the threads on the carb, I know it could probably be re cut and could shorten the float bowl screw but its still faulty
sent pictures off to Andy at pedparts The damage seems like a design or manufacturers fault as it is symmetrical on both sides, there is a hole on the back of the carb no idea what for like! pictures first 2 are the holes where the screw has came through the carb on both sides and second is the result one mixture screw nackered and the new one on the way
after forgetting a few time I posted the carb today hopefully will hear back with a replacement or a refund!
