I'm planning on buying myself a Jonway yy-50qt-31 when i turn 16. It's only £525 but insurance is a major issue. The cheapest quote i could find was £430 third party only. There is no way i can pay that. I've seen many people (16) saying their insurance is £220 from websites such as lexham insurance and bennets. My quote was about £600 on each of those sites. Why is my quote so much more expensive than someone of the same age (and with chinese scooters)?
Where should i look for insurance around the £220 mark?
i was paying 760 for my rs 125 through mce and couldnt keep up with the monthly poayments cuz i was at college so rang up lexham cuz my mate was payying 400 and ended up getting it for 360 with break down still got insurance docs to prove hahaha ! btw are you 16 or 17 ? you can barter with them big time

I'm 16. That's a great saving. I'll definatly give lexham a ring then and try and barter it down.
thanks
there shite they will fall to bits gets a proper 2 stroke ped pick them up for 300 better looking less to insure more reliable and a hell of alot faster
Thanks everyone. I've got a few q's about the piaggio nrg 50
1... What is it's average top speed when de-restricted.
2... Would any mechanic be able to de restrict it?
3... Would it have the power/ seat accomodation to seat two people?
Thank you very much =D
should just leave it de-restricted just go carefull with it and dont do nothing stupid so the police notice you or dont do nothing that will make you stand out
