To be honest, I wouldn't bother buying a helmet online, you never know how it's handled in transport and how it's been treated in their shop/stock.
Hi Dom
Cheers for your reply, I know exactly where ur coming from re buying online but i have fell in love with this helmet so prepared to ignore my common sense and still buy it if any one on here tells me its legal etc :good:
They NEED the british standards sticker on them, so if they only comply with EU standards they aint good enough over here.
Buy one from a shop, or if your looking for a cheapy get one from a market for around 30 quid, they have the BS and EU stickers but are abit tacky and the padding goes flat after about 1 year (I have 2 cheapy helmets).
Well worth spending 80+quid on a helmet tho, not only will it save your life better but it'll be lighter (less stress on your neck), and the padding lasts years.
a) what helmet is it?
b) people seem to be forgetting that some helmets are produced over seas and do not differ to the product sold over uk counters
c) the uk is in the eu
d)the uk helmet standards are
1. British Standard BS 6658:1985 (it will be marked with a British Standard 'kitemark'

; or
2. UN ECE Regulation 22.05 (it will be marked with a UN 'E' mark - the first two digits of the approval number will be '05'

.
a gold acu sticker is also a bonus
new lids should have a sharp rating
