Crank change-labour cost?

    just looking for an estimate on how long a crank would take to swap at a mech?
    Im not sure im ready to have a pop at that one yet :)

    I was told at my scooter shop 3hrs labour if the engine was in the bike, and 2hrs if i bring just the engine @ £40 per hr

    If the engine is out and stripped of transmition and top end , the most they can charge is about an hour and thats them being cocky as it will take no longer then 20-30 mins. Engine in , tgey will happily charge 3 hours + . Average costs of labour per hour on a 125 is £45 + VAT wich works aout about 54 quid and hour.
