lol my granddad and uncle were the ones who did most of the conversions round here, I remember them doing that sort of stuff round here when I was about 10-11, learnt most the stuff I know helping doing sleepers/modded cars.
this one is just down the road from me -

corsas are plentifull round here, can pick one up £300, always a few for sale at any one time.
gf has a completely rebuilt custom nova that's took her a few year to build. don't like most newer cars piles of shite and the older cars can slaughter half of them performance wise.

Da Vauxhall Nova ruled da streets originally in da late '80s, blud. You is bein' forgettin' dat, innit?

I bet that Burridge used to read his Dad's old copies of Hot Rod and Custom Car, proper mags that were out way before Max Power and the bling brigade.

Back in the early '80s, I had a Ford Escort Estate Mk.II. My mate wrote his Mk.II Mexico off, so what did we do? We built a Ford Escort 2.0 Mexico Mk.II Estate and went XR2/XR3 hunting, that's what. They could never figure out why I could waste them from the lights! :D

Demon Tweeks, STP and Wynn's stickers, along with Richard Grant stickers FTW! \o/

If you want to look at modded / Barried Corsas, BarryBoys is the central repository for all things shite and puke-i-ful when it comes to custom cars. There's some comedy gold on there!!

i was waiting for these cars to crop up in conversation,,,,,seeing as your over 50 year old talking about corsas and puntos is way past your youth,,,lol

but now your talking about proper cars,,,,,my first apprenticeship was in a bodyshop,,,,the head sprayer was a ford nut,,,,,,,mk1 escort,,mk2 escort,,,and a mk1 fezzy stripped out with a zvh conversion

corsa and puntos are shite compared to these classics,,,,,,,,,end of!!!!

old fords are still crap tho! there is a reason none of them are on the road anymore, they all ended up in scrapyards. my nan had an xr2i for most of my life, despite being a millionaire! she only got rid of it when she crashed it, then she got a puma... nevermind!

    no theyre not though...
the only reason fords got crap was because they stopped making them with the proper metal, to save money they started using thin metal/shit metal.
though im a vauxhall/opel lad myself unless it comes to vans. then i love fords.

I don't know why, but Vauxhall seemed to make Mk1 Corsas out of a metal called Eternium, as the feckers just don't seem to die! '70s Vauxhalls such as the Viva and Victor used to rot as badly as Alfasuds and Lancia Betas, but they saved the good stuff for the Corsa? Sheesh...

this is why we like to take old vauxhalls and rebuild them properly.
and a 2.3 omega engine is a must too ;)
