hi all, yet another thread for myself...

i took advice from another member off here and took the carb off, it was the standard 56 jet in there and i wipped that out. my new 60 jet however wont go in the way it should because it isnt screwed all the way to the end...sounds wierd so i took a pic of them both sat next to each other.

because its not screwed to the end it wont go in...can i just turn the jet round and put it in that way or will this cause trouble? from my thinking...its only a different size hole...but im a newb :wtf:

okok...the one on the right looks like the main jet....which is the one you should be replacing.....

the one on the left looks like the start or idle jet.....leave that one....

which one did you take out?

the 1 on the left is the one i have taken out...looks like the origional (bike is a 2001 plate) with 56 wrote on it. the one on the right fits in the same hole where the origional came out but because it isnt screwed all the way to the end it wont go in the way it should, is it ok to turn it round and put it in the other way round?

name should be written on it somewhere....eg dellorto, webber.....
the size should be alluded to as well

are you sure you have taken out the main jet?

can you take a quick photo of the carby, and where the jets are....?

yeah the 1 on the left came out, the 1 on the right fits in there the opposite way from what it should...will this make any difference...?

i have tried it in there the opposite way and it flys in nice and tight, i bought that jet from http://www.donotlink-pedstop.co.uk/ who say its the right one for my bike, it may just be the thread on the screwed bit at the end not wanting to go...so what do u think..?

if it was me id take it back.... i reckon they gave you the wrong one....

it may fit, but the hole (what the jet size is based on) will probably be wrong.

id say they gave you a start jet or an idle jet from a different carby.

someone else might be able to verify if it will work.... but i reckon its not worth leaning out your engine.

in that last photo, the side where your 'pointer' finger is, it should have the model number and size....

    eg... model number: PHVA
    size: 17.5 mm

that will help when ordering. never ordered from donotlink, but you can order by carby part number from scooter centre....

hope this helps... im off to bed in a min....
