    Forgot to update this.

    Engine back together now.
    Got the gearbox together, found the crank case gasket doesn't quite fit the cases at the cylinder end, but no biggie. Everywhere else is fine.

    Need to order some new bolts for the cases. Got loads of bolts but none as long as I need, and I'm not re-using the old ones.

    I seem to be lagging behind a bit with this project somehow.
    Things this last week have gotten in the way big time.
    Had a 4 day weekend, sat/sun/mon/tues, barely touched it.
    Frustrating.
    And only really got saturday this weekend. Out on sunday til about 3pm.
    Meeting at DPD on Monday morning, back in the office by 3 monday afternoon.
    :confused::confused::confused:

    its a classic oldie buddy not lagging behind its just getting a great job restoring it and that takes time and love from the builder. what you had to think is once its done its going to be hard to let go off, all those hours are going to show in a fantastic machine brought back to life again and looking like it rolled of the showroom floor all those years ago .

    Won't be hard to let go of, I decided that 4 of the bikes are going before the end of august this year.
    That's this one, the TDM900, XTZ750 Super Tenere, and the Yamaha RS100 (once it's built).
    I'll keep the GTR1400 for another year, or until it hits the 20,000 mile mark.
    What I want by the end of this year is a 1968 Bonneville, for restoration obviously.
    Or if i'm REEEEALLYY lucky.............a Brough Superior.
    And I will be lucky to find one of those.

    We have very similar taste in bikes you and I, broughs are just truely beautiful machines, but you need a mortgage to buy just a basket case...
    Ive been on the lookout for one for years but they are just hugely over priced....
