On my 3rd honda in 2 years, whilst they are in the main, incredibly reliable- what you've got to watch especially running an older model,is age..., and running it along the same lines as more modern bike without! taking that into consideration. .
Just got the manual for mine ( c50/70/90), they reckon if your going to use for mostly short trips,to 1/2 ve your oil changes., Going with std.supermarket oil for mine, less costly+fair quality.,
as a rule id change the oil etc at every 4k`s or every 6 months (whichever comes first) but then thats just how ive always done it with every 4 stroke ive owned and theyve all done well, you could probably service a c90 every 10k and itd still be fine.
Sweet that's fairly normal! Mark Get some pics of yours up!, can't believe how much I payed compared to yours tho...
Colour is well faded (told before bought), corrosion on wheels (new front easy/rear not so much), S...e topbox (now removed), frame solid, rear m/guard- prob.replace as matter of course., all electric's work, though battery needs charge. List of parts replaced new:- Chain+sprockets, clutch,fr.brake cable,plug,filter,points/condensor,mirrors,tyres/tubes+rim-tape,battery,fuel-cap,seat(inc X2 spare),exhaust studs, Turns out he was preparing it for his 17yr. old stepson, but he had to choose between getting a car and selling/could'nt have both.
Manual (67-82),service intervals 1k,300 if used mostly for short trips., Sticking with 1.,came with 4 gallons of silkolene!. .
and....... lets see yours... probably a pile of shite compared to that. if you own anything that is. not seen any of yours anywhere yet.. seriously need to stop picking negative shit about others rides. doing my head in now.
