Hey!, Don't knock it - there's usually someat down the road that'll probaly Fk. things up at some point!. .
righty, the idle is a tad high, until you release the clutch a bit when it dies down, so gunna have another little play with the idle. however when you give it some beans it seems to bog abit. not 100% sure how to remedy it, ive cleaned out the jets when i did the carb. maybe alter the other screw?
If it bogs a bit when you give it the beans- too much fuel/float height?, Would'nt have a clue 'bout throttle stop as never really had need to deal with.
Keep an eye on your float needle an seat (both wear together), debris or particles can prevent it seating leading to a credit line with bp,, an if its too worn out won't seat proper.
cheers mate will have a look (not that ill know what im looking for ) on a lighter note, the gear selection lights actually work now
If you don't know what you're looking for, draw up a cpla carb. diagrams for examples (there will be variations) to give you the jist -unfortuneatly no pics at mo. The float needle fitting into seat creates an in/out level for flow adjustment, excessive wear or interference in that seal can fk. up proper running (starvation/flooding). .
haha played around with the carb some more, still bogging. looks like it will have to come off and ill have a gander at the float now jsut trying to suss out the 'ignition barrel' lol basically a load of wires
Real serious issue with the wiring on the melody today, had to polish a bullett connector (snigger). .
Might wanna do the inner tube thingy with your float, bung it in a bowl of water - if it's leaking/you'll know. .
oo winning cheers, think im getting somewhere with the ignition, gunna wire up the switch i got with it to the electrics part of the switch, then see if it kills the engine, if not abit more head scratching and i think i could sort it. failing that ive found a full barrel and lock set on the bay for 50 quid, but right now id rather not be spending that much on it
That sounds a bit dear!,i'd look about a bit more - though if it's a type specific purchase/more understandable, but still!., (says the guy with a £5.00 bid on a complete 4t zip ala e/by. ).
Could'nt pull your bike up on e/by,but they are breaking a few cg's (complete!) an do posties, might be worth a recce. .
just had a butchers on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-Wire-Ig...pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts_13&hash=item35c985f96e seems like it would probably need splicing into the current ignition loom, but should do the job. just gotta wait for it to travel by sea
