ok another little tinker today. dash off, gear selector lights and neutral light dont work, its not the bulbs so presume somewhere else? any ideas what/where? rear light, ok sidelight is lighting up both elements, its either both or nothing, where as brake switch only lights up one element (cant swap which one it lights though) took a while to warm up today, and still seemed to run abit lumpy once it had. will try that out when we get some better weather
just took it up to a bit of private land i know. purrs like a dream, did cough a tad when going up hill and/or giving it a little bit of a squeeze. but it is on reserve so think it was struggling for fuel at that point. neutral is deffo a problem, managed to find it whilst changing up to 5th
Were you very naughty in a previous life?, found neutral changing to 5th - how the f.does your gear selection work?mk. .
lol, nope just slightly naughty in this life not sure how i managed it, guy on my car club says i just missed the gear,no idea, i just pulled over and dropped it back down the gears (there was something behind me when i did it) im thinking maybe needs full oil change? might make them slip in slightly easier also need to find out why the gear lights dont work
Have you cleaned up all associated electrical connections and or connected properly?, just had minor issues with the bullett ones on mine, were'nt going in the hole proper at 1st. .mk.
i had a play around with them, seem fine, my guess is the switch or sumat in the gearbox? but i think before it goes on teh road it needs a new set of clocks, so that may sort it
haha, yeah its a wreck. will get some close up pics of the damage at some point but it was free, doesnt need all that much work, is easy to work on and learn to work on, and its getting me into geared bikes, something i NEVER thought id do
Straight up,bit jealous actually - sounds a bit of a fun journey, Will get a chinese bike one day, really looking forward to it!, (just after I research what speed be needed to clear the white cliffs of..........).mk. .
its keeping me busy thats for sure. and so far ive not spent that much on it. had to buy an indicator bulb today as that had gone on me the other day, also think i need a couple dash bulbs (or swap some from some other lights) as the right hand indicator light and the high beam light both dont work when they used to
Just realised how cool this post is to comment on!, I'm the exact opposite to you - grew up with geared bikes, Never thought i'd get a scooter as had the mids/rockers mentality floating around in my head (lotta space back then/had plenty of room. ).mk.
ive been into cars since i was 7 (probably earlier) only rarely given bikes a quick glance. got told i cant park my car at work and i will not be leaving it anywhere else, so the mrs takes it and i got the ped as a cheap way of getting to and from work without sweating on a cycle. like it alot. was thinking of moving up to a 125 in a year or two, got bert free and think ill be keeping it
Never liked cars as i'm a very visual person when otr (can't see wheels/eyeball the steering direction), only ever had 1 an that was 30 yrs ago., Hope Bert don't put you off 125ing it.mk. .
Excellent!, Take it your one of those girdeth the loins an preparest for battle jobbies. , best of luck on test, mine was old school an was more worried 'bout using my own bike than passing!, So I rented!. , after killing the 1st bike stone dead in the 1st 100 yards , abs.flew through on the 2nd an then................... (bit haaaazy after that!).mk. .
im lovin it, im diggin it yeah theres no rush, although i didnt expect to be on a 125 this quick either
