i gave it plenty of time to warm up before i moved it first. started off slow then once my leg was feeling abit of heat gave it abit more until i nearly burnt my leg lol. erm im thinking of going with second option soon. will give the idle a jiggery about
Try about 2 1/8 - 1/4 to start after warming up,get it to the point where it sounds like it's going to stall or does, than experiment with 1/4's till it sounds relitively smooth but not toooo fast.mk. .
good, less women more bikes a hongdou has come up locally for £150 non running so might go take a look
dont expect wonderous things but at that price if you cant get it running the bits could sell for more
never expect much from a bike me, gonna go look at it tmoz, says its got all docs and that its just been stood and cant get it to start so im hoping itll be a case of clean the carb, new plug, new oil, fresh fuel and itll go, if not its another one to add to the breaking list aha if I get it running and I get this job im going for interview for Wednesday then ill just rag it around and use it for the commute if not ill be cycling and getting the train
fingers crossed on it working easy enough then, nothing worse than cycling to work oh and good luck landing the job if you break it, get some pics up oky spent about an hour messing around. got it to just about idle without the choke, but as soon as you rev it, it dies, also by this point the revs are high when its got choke on and is quite noisy (i start work at 5am most days) presume its got air and fuel screws for idle? pics first one, think air idle screw, middle towards the top of the carb second one, need your thoughts, presume fuel screw tucked away, gunna be a pig to get to
looks like it already has the cg125 carb on, im not too good with carbs as im more into fuel injection but consulting the manual cant hurt and giving the carb a clean while your at it is probably a good idea, could be that a jet is blocked? as I said not too good with carbs and always get someone to do mine, but clean up and consult the manual for wich screw does what and adjust as neccesarry
i cant find anything in the haynes concerning idle screws, but i did just have a quick scan through. my thoughts are though that it works perfectly fine with the choke on. its jsut once its off things go awry?
after having a butchers round the web, seems the carb may need cleaning, should be fun trying to get it off
on here on a phone, currently resting on a weekend cycle trip, so sorry if spellings etc are really bad shouldn't really be too hard just make sure you remember what pipes go where or do what id do and take plenty of pictures of taking it off and when your dismantling it that way you know where it all goes first time you do it itll seem hard but after shouldn't be too much hassle if you need to do it again
Correct me if i'm wrong!,but could have sworn i've seen on u-tube a vid or two when having a recce at chinese 'peds/bikes ....... - In your 1st photo slightly up an to the left, you'll see a little brass plate/supposeadly designed as a form of anti tamper device - I think there's a screw behind it!!!,back in hr.or two ,iLl have a look.mk. .
just got the carb off to give it a clean out (wasnt that bad, neither was the airfilter) when the choke is off, the butterfly is fully closed. could this be whats preventing it running properly?
rofl, ignore me. got choke operation wrong way round. looks like it fires up with no problems without any choke, must be this hot weather. pah ah well, only couple days wasted that i could have been working on the electrics
happens to all of us at somepoint, we think somethings up when theres nothing wrong, best to investigate though I once left my 1992 vision sitting for 3 weeks purely because I thought it was leaking petrol, I had a blocked nose, turned out to be a leaking bottle of pepsi that I left under the seat
rofl, oh that makes me feel better just wish i had an owners manual edit* i have found one online, jsut not looked at the choke bit rofl
