Riiight not done much for a while, oh i got some smoked indicators to replace the standard ones which were cracked anyway :punk:

Apart from that, it was a nice day so i tried to take some decent pictures of my dirty bike.

as usual, click the image for full size.

find the end of the crack and drill a hole in it, they do this on plane wings when they crack. stops it in its tracks till you can have it welded

    ^^ exactly.

chemical metal will do the job, something is vibrating badly, sort it.

I 'think' it's from one of the first times i put the new transmission case bolts in, i tightened them to much, but i never noticed the crack it was only tonight when cleaning i spotted it.

since then i never over tighten them i just nip them up, im used to doing them really tight from my old bike which didn't have all the bolts for the casing!

if it's been there months, or weeks i think i might just closely monitor it before i start doing any repairs etc.

thanks for the info guys i may be needing it ( i hope not ) :rtfm:

drill the end of the crack anyway, it WILL stop it from getting worse.

I've rung The scorpion people, the guy on the phone was a nice chap offered to help and 'take a look at it' unfortunatly he wasn't in today so i couldn't take it down.

i've also contacted PSN about it and im waiting on a reply to my email.

oh thanks to mrs TangoSR for posting the contact info, never thought i'd actually need it :p

my dad has taken it to work tonight where they have some serious welding gear etc.

im still after a replacement, as the spring went missing, and the rubber bungs on the bracket are totally shagged :msn1:

to be fair, i think the scorpion metal bracket is abit naff too.
