Oh I get you. Yeah my mate runs an oil pump and like 30ml of oil in the tank or something, if I were you I'd just get an adjustable pump off pedparts.
im never too clear with what i say most times haha..... erm, whats the adjustable ones? dont think theres nout wrong with my oil pump, just not too sure about why it has these weird outbursts of dying and having to push the man. choke in.... thought if i put oil in with the petrol just the slightest amount it might run a bit smoother... ?probably completely wrong tho lol
I personally much prefer pre-mixing. Once you've had an oil pump go, you'll see why! but realistically, there isnt a whole lot of benefit to premix other than peace of mind. be warned, for proper performance you cant just pour a rough amount in and go "oh that's ABOUT 35:1" You need to be pretty much bang on. I run a 24:1 ratio on Motul 800 Factory Line pre-mix and can highly recommend it. Plug is clean and next to no varnish on the piston
i just got a stage6 measuring thing, but havnt got much petrol haha... so i put a tiny bit on th handle of a teaspoon
ye a tea spoon it 5mm i used to use it for abit but i looked like a spoon at the petrol station lol hahah
loool i can imagine.. someone fills up then pulls a spoon out the seat.... id be thinking along the lines of drugs lol...
Premix on standard or similar performance engines, other than for peace of mind, is pointless. Yes you are sure your oil pump wont fail but that s about it. The low end 70cc (DR, Top perf...) will not benefit from premix. Tuned engines on the other hand will, simply because the required ratio oil/petrol differ from the standard oil pump. Be aware that the type of oil (and quality!) and the ratio can affect the performance of the engine itself. It is recommended to mix oil and petrol using a bottle mixer so you know exactly your ratio, and for info, adding a spoon of oil to your fuel tank at the station isnt the best way to go as the viscosity of the petrol and oil arent the same so chances are they wont go through the fuel hose properly mixed! ... And we all know what happens if there isnt enough oil ...
yes ovs u just hav a babys bottle lol measures 25mm to 100mm so i mix 25 to 1 litre u hav to get it ryt every time its very importent
The ratio is very important. Adding too much oil isnt good and neither is not putting enough You can generally find recommended premix ratio from manufacturers or you can do some testing with precautions. Jetting must be adjusted accordingly.
every time you fill up just put a splash in not to much though lol. my rox is premix, its easier to get to the engine ect and its suppose to be a lot better for high revving engines, shouldn't really run it less than 30:1
