Hello again folks, Thank you for previous help but i come back with another stupid question. I fully derestriced my aprilia sr50 r model year 2016, and i fitted a yasuni Z exhaust etc. My problem is that the old exhaust had some kind of pipe+ hose conected to a little plastic box with some filter inside, and further on, another hose is going inside engine. I will attach photos here. I would appreciate any help, since i didnt start the engine without knowing what that part is. Thank you in advance
my question? what should i do with it? since the new exhaust doesnt have this..should i plug something in the whole or? is it safe to ride without? is it affecting the engine?
MK is quite correct. It is a secondary air box and a sort of exhaust gas re-circulation thingy. Loads of engines have them, Zips, NRG's are the ones that come to mind. Most people either break them off because the screws seize, or just forget to put them back on and end up blocking off the pipe with a big bolt like a 12mm car wheel bolt. Haven't come across any negative effects as of yet.
