Aprilia SR125 *NAKED* Help needed... fuel tank??

    The bike was FREE...and there's plenty about. It may not turn out any good, but hopefully I'll enjoy trying :)

    free or not its still a shame, could of made it road worthy, sold it for a few hundred then picked up a shitter and had more money to spend on it, good luck with it anyway :D

    put a belly pan on it and hide the tank in there

    Well as standard they have plenty of parts that would fail. Mounts for electrics and panels. They are all bits of protruding metal so would fail as they would be dangerous to other road users and pedestrians. The panels as standard cover up these bits.

    Of course you can cut them all off and grind it all down but it's all down to the MOT tester.

    As for fuel tanks have a look in places like demaon tweeks they do all sorts of random tanks for rally cars and such like so they come in a few different shapes and sizes usually all in polished ally but can be painted up, I would defo get myself down to my local mot tester and have a chat with him explain what your doing and see what he/she says.
    Chuck a few more pics of the front of the bike, I love the idea of a naked ped but its such a fine line between looking amazing and looking like some feker just nikked ya panels lol

    I'm loving this! I'm gonna do a naked (or as I like to call it,nude) area 51 as my next project. Something like this[​IMG]

    The fuel tank may be an idea for yours? (under the seat)
