Hi guys looking for help. Have a cvk 2703 carb fitted and what appears to be a problem with air intake. If I remove the vacuum pipe for the fuel flow from the inlet manifold it will rev to a fashion better than when it’s connected. I’ve cleaned the carb and fitted new air filter. A replacement carb is in the region of £250 so does anyone know what is a cheaper replacement and where the best place to get a slider with diaphragm. Also any idea what might be the problem. It starts and will idle but dies when throttling P.s. I’ve checked the valve followers are tight. Any help greatly appreciated
Drop the main jet size. When you remove the vac pipe you are allowing more air into the mixture, which means it wants more air and less fuel.
