Aprilia Mojito 50cc....No Spark

Yeah the relay is dead.

 

Thanks for that.....seem to be having problems getting a 40 amp one......what would happen if I put a higher amperage one on it ?.....this is the one I'm looking at....it looks identical, but it says it won't fit the 2002 model......

 

O.k.....finally discovered that the original part no. for this relay is AP8224057......which is the no. for the original Aprilia relay, so now ordered.....I suspect that the one on it now is not the original, but then she is 18 years old.....

 

A bet you payed like 30 quid for it...
It's a £2 relay...

Unfortunately not, that was a good store.

 

Our nearest one was at Lincoln.....it closed a couple of years back.....

 

Likewise the two we had in Cambridge. Damn shame that.

 

18 years old? She's still a mere whipper snapper. Plenty of life left in the old girl yet I'm sure. They don't make 'em like they used to...

 

New starter relay here, and fitted.....electric starter now working like a good 'un.......handlebar shortening next on the list........

 

There may be those that don't agree with me doing this......but to get to my sheds I have to go down a narrow passageway......not much point doing the old girl up if I then struggle to get her out onto the road........ gone from being nearly 36" wide, to about 25".......
