The pump should be arrowed for fuel in and out. Connect pipe from tank to in arrow, connect vac pipe. Suck on vac pipe, fuel should flow freely out the open side of the pump and stop when you stop sucking (a little drip is fine) Connect out arrowed hose to carb fuel inlet.......rock n roll You should not be able to blow through the fuel pump.
Thankyou got it running done what you said no joy turned out to be a dodgy fuel pump put a different one on from another scoot and after some messing around got it running starts first time idles fast like but ill sort that in the morning n take it on a test run see how it goes i have orderd a new pump and its on its way hopefully i will get some speed out of it
