Aprilia 2016 SR Motard 125 Complete loss of power.....Grrrrr

Complete "Newbie" and not sure what to do next ?

eBay purchase and no background or history to bike, but running and all legal.
    Original 6k miles only.
Bike is super reliable, great on tick over and never misses a beat, but no guts to engine and will not go more than 50 mph !!
No vibration, no smoking, no oil anywhere, no oil in air filter and bone dry.
It's a very original scooter and great condition, but it has had a after market exhaust fitted, a Arrow.
I asked a service center about a compression test, but they seemed to think engine is fine and not damaged rings, as not burning oil and everywhere dry, but they kept mentioning the exhaust and back pressure.

Can anybody advise of what to do next or what to check or replace ?

Could it be restricted ? Need different jets ?

Hoping for help and more speeeeeed :D

    Dave.....

Worn rollers or belt I guess.
But its a 2 stroke right?
It should smoke when you start it.
    2 strokes burn oil.
Or is it a 4 stroke leader engine?

I think the std pipe is the best to use, it's never going to be fast anyway. How fast do you think it should go?

Ok, new to scooters, but faster than 50mph and more torque, up hills is a embarrassement on a 125cc
Yes I have heard the standered exhaust is good but new they are £500!!!

I prefer aftermarket pipes, they are often cheaper.
But yeah 50mph out of a 4t isnt so bad. With an aftermarket variator you will probably see 70ish if its serviced well.

An after market seem's to give a slightly better top end but lack's massively in the bottom to mid range just where you need it !

cheers for the reply's, really the after market "Arrow" exhaust was far to loud ! and use to make children cry and dogs bark :(
So this weekend i have got a second hand original Aprilia exhaust to fit and will report on the performance and see if the back pressure changes.

You should hear my V4 if you think your scooter is loud...

Bit of a update, now fitted original second hand exhaust and performance is exactly the same :(
Will concentrate now on belt and rollers.
