Been having a little play, 3.5gr rollers fitted, takes off a lot better now, has that consistant
    engine rev sound to it.
See if I can get it in for mot tomorrow.
I'm happy enough with it, so the mot bloke should be as well.

How come you ran an open filter on the 17.5mm carb mate? I'm putting a 17.5mm on my et2 but was going to run the standard airbox, my original carb is a 12mm which I'm guessing yours was?

Awesome thread I do love a neos!

This one had no carb when I got it, but I've got a box full of carbs.
12mm carbs I bin straight away, not good enough for today's roads.
I built a neos with Athena Pro 70 kit, adjustable clutch, sports variator, Pro Rep pipe, 17.5mm carb, 3.6gr rollers, Kevlar belt.
With the standard airbox it was nowhere near as responsive as with the open filter.
The only drawback was where it was positioned, underneath everything.
Through spring and summer it was great, come late autumn and winter it would get crapped up too quick, so temporary change to the standard airbox
