The old crank was bent anyway, and i can't be arsed to deal with the supplier again. I'll take the replacement crank back next week when i'm back at work, I know I've got a run to Rochdale next week and they are just off the motorway junction. Should've done the angle grinder thing in the first place, would've saved me a few days waiting.

How do i upload a video?

the only time things get bodged in this garage is when the customer asks for it to be done that way, and 9 times out of ten they take it away and do it themselves.
Then bring it back for me to fix properly when it dont work.

    AHA! Found the bendix!

Can't believe i haven't updated this for months, also can't believe how long i've been doing this Katana.
    Last July for f**ks sake.
Managed to do some on it the last couple of nights due to waiting for parts for the other customer bikes.
Anyway, didn't like the cylinder that was on it so just changed it for the malossi 70 iron kit, stuck a 19mm mikuni copy carb on, K&N style open filter.
Playing with jets now, started at 80, had to have the air mix screw just half a turn out for it to rev properly, so changed jet to 86. Bit crisper now but still not entirely happy with it, idles ok, but it can be better. Not gonna get a chance over the weekend due to customer jobs and BIKE 4 LIFE on sunday, but got another bank holiday coming up.

If i remember right, it was this one, but i said he couldn't have it in the end, all the kid wanted to do was wheelie it and go as fast as humanly possible, so i knew that even if i told him to run it in properly he wouldn't and it would have boomeranged time and again and i would've ended up having loads of grief off the father. So f**k it, go buy elsewhere.
Should get round to doing a bit on it today i hope, only got 1 planned customer today, gotta inspect his belt and rollers, and maybe clean the carb out, it's got a little flat spot at 15mph.
Looking forward to fitting the 21mm Naraku Performance carb on it; might have a problem keeping the standard airbox on this though because of the manifold conversion.
    We shall see............

Ok, theres something wrong here, thing will start, then dies like its being switched off.
Mystifying. May be that the manifold conversion has put the carb too far away from the intake........hmmmm,
