Right, so, engine split again, hoping against hope that it isn't going to be the 6205 bearing that's shot, simply because i haven't got any of that size in the box. Plenty of 6204's but no more 6205's.
Took a chance and changed the 6204, put the halves back together and tightened everything up...................YEEEEEESSSSSSSS:):):) nice and smooth.
Just to be sure, put the flywheel housing on and gave it a spin by hand; lovely.
Built it all back up (again) and it is now back to how it should be, will be into the bike tomorrow night.

Nothing recent to report, i'm afraid. Found out that the crank is bent a bit on the variator side, so bought a new crank, bit it's still sitting in its box on the bench waiting to be put in. Been stupid busy again, trying to get stuff don, e, or get stuff finished, before i go in for surgery at christmas. Yes, in for surgery at christmas. 23rd to be precise. Bitch innit. Not allowed into the garage for 2 weeks afterwards, or anywhere dirty or dusty so the consultant says. Dunno who's house he thinks i live in.
Somehow i have a feeling that two or three days might be long enough for me to stew in the house. There's only so much tv you can watch, or computer games you can play. I've got an engine for Hairyjim that i need to dig out and drop over to him, but thats buried behind a load of timber that i have for a few jobs in the garden.
So much to do and so little time left.

good luck pal and keep up the good work with all the projects n just a lil question for you ,, on a carb (bike) which way do you turn it if its adding too much fuel because when mines cold you have to just press the starter but any throttle and it dies but if you leave it about 5 mins its ok

You dont. Should run normally after about 1 minute. After 5 minutes the engine is warm and doesn't need the choke. If it takes that long i would think you have a problem with the choke staying on too long.

well if i dont put choke on (its a manual choke) it just died with throttle but when i use the choke it works fine

I would think that it is runing a bit lean then, have you tried the next jet size up to see if that helps?

It was running fine till a garage played about with it the problem was that the choke didnt work everytime I used it the bike cut out so they showed me that it worked with the air box off but soon as the air box went on it didnt work again so they did something to the carb think they leaned it a bit and now its like this lol what a pain

That means that with the airbox off it is getting the right amount of air to fuel ratio, and with it on, it is choking itself, more fuel than air. More open sponge me thinks.

Dont make it too lean, with the mixture screw too far out, can pop the piston in short time. Fuel acts as a lubricant as well as oil. Keep an eye on the colour of the plug; too creamy white looking is too lean, too black is too rich. A nice white coffee colour is good.

You could try turning the mixture screw out 1/8th of a turn at a time. But make a mental note of how much you are doing it,
