iv started to strip the engine currently i am stuck on the magneto i have got the bolt of but it doesnt seem to be budging i got told that its magnetic but it does not seem to want to come of thanks
it creates power by way of magnets but it is a taperd slip joint.. you need some inginuity or a removal tool specificly made for the magneto to remove it. off the subjecty, isnt it funny how helpfull peoplke are when they know your a girl LOL any other aerox owner on the other hand LOL
is there anyway of getting it of without using the special tool, as i do not want to spend money on tools but if i have to i will. thanks
rubber mallet and tapping it in the right places just want to say this is NOT a good idea. engine rebuilds arent bolt together and go, and even if they were im not convinced you still wouldnt have trouble
i have an spare Aerox engine which i do not work which i am doing work on before i mod my own Aerox engine. I just need to know how to get the magneto of without a special tool. thanks
note to all aerox owners (the dumber ones. excl. dec-rossi, wobbly and the other REPUTABLE aerox owners) if you want help then become a girl....... its all here papippyillion girl!!! btw for those of you who may have already noticed the riser kits on aeroxs can push the oil tank onto the coolant bleeding nipples on the head, and it will eventually split the lil rubber caps. oh yer papippyillion girl this is the colour you want - i built it btw loooooool
still cant get the magneto of, and i dont really wannt buy the tools. iv stripped the other side of engine (variator, clutch etc) without an impact gun so there must be some way to get the magneto of without a special tool.
You can dig a hole with a fork..... If youve got a brain youd use a spade.... (If youve got a hench wallet youd use a digger :rofl: )
get plenty of penetrant on it!(wd40.gt85) the tools are only a few quid. you could gently ply it with a few flat heads, but becarefull the ally will break easy. just patience and plenty of wd.
i always help whoever they are like i said on msn papillon , use the flywheel extractor on ebay to get the magneto off EVERYTHING else you need doing ive done it before bar the carb conversion, but ive told you how to do everything just read back if u get stuck
iv managed to get the magneto of with the special tool, my bro had one . Now iv took out all of the bolts holding the engine together but it doesnt still seem to wanna come apart, it comes of a bit but then it gets to a point where it wont come of anymore
I think its the metal bar at the top of the engine which is holding it together but i cannot get that of either
here is a picture of how far the engine will split. this is a picutre of the bit where all the bolts come out and the end of the crank.
you need to get circlip pliers on that circlip in the second pic and take the pump drive off, cases wont split with that still on.
how should i get the crank out? also in the UK what age is it legal to use a 70cc kit, im 16 and have my provisional and have passed my cbt.
