My mates NRG seized whilst he was running a 104 jet on a 21mm because it was running lean

Thats madness... i always thought the 100 was way too big for a 70 with a 17.5mm carb... ?

The needle is fine, we've adjusted it and the idle / mixture screw and nothing changed... it hardly even tries to start now, i got a video but photbucket aint uploading it, taking years! ...

Iv got standard airbox with the snorkel removed, polini sport 70, and yasuni R exhaust... but when i had the 100 in there it ran ok... since we changed the waterpump properllor for a stage6 one that came with my stage6 cnc waterpump, it hasnt wanted to start... its making nasty noises when it does start and i dont fancy trying it to have something go pop o_O

I dont know much about LC my bike is AC but I would suggest checking over the water pump and anything you had to play with to fit the propeller

mmm weird, drain the carb and try again uve probably flooded it anyway I had a starting problem with my ped as soon as i changed my jet took like 20 mins to start it but i think that was air in the hoses and no fuel in the carb lol

Hmm weird when you say sounded awful..so loud describe it? my mate had a problem with his nrg when he fitted his 3rd bore it would not like to start and u could hear the usual sound of compression when you kick start and lights would flicker but no start and if it did it would die pretty quickly and sound bad, I'll give him a bell tomoz and see if he has got it sorted and if so I'll ask him how for you :)

    cheers fella :)

well, it just sounds nasty, like, metal on metal or something broken.... i dont really know how to describe it, im still trying to upload the video, might try my mums laptop tomorrow as that never has any problems whereas mine does lol..... its got good compression and a spark, but i was told today i might need a new coil .... its just doesnt sound right when kicking it over...

Metal on metal  check to see if your exhaust is on nice and tight and has gasket if it's ment to have one and I would suggest taking the bore and piston off and checking to see if it's got any marks or leaks

maybe its you trying to start it so many times and your oil pump is not turning enough to pump oil so u only got petrol in your bore.
what u can do is take the park plug out take exhaust off and let it dry over night the must be bare petrol in your bore when it dries kick it few times and take your vacum pipe off so it dosent put any more petrol in.

Is the base gasket Okay? could be losing compression or sucking air.

sorry but what is the base gasket? headgasket? if so its been replaced twice in about 4months.... its got good compression apparantly, but finding it hard to spark.. guessing new ignition coi maybe ???

i think im gonna buy another running aerox and then transfer my bits onto that....

swap plug, check plug cap connection to HT lead, replace/check coil, swap/check CDI, make sure battery isn't knackered and that its producing 14V...some bikes wont fire if the voltage isnt high enough even though they crank over. Check all powered electrical connections on starter circuit

not alot more it could be if its a spark issue

My battery is 12v not 14v .... also tried about 8 different plugs, doesnt change a thing, when u kick the bike over it sounds digustin each kick....

Might be a new coil as your the 5th person to say that now.... still, think im gonna get another aerox and put all my bits onto the new one,....

14.4V is the amount of current a battery is supposed to put out when cranking over using a 12V battery :p

What are you reeds like, if theyr'e damaged it will blow back through the carb and make a terrible racket.
The base gasket fits between the crank case and barrel.

Oh that gasket is fine mate, its brand new and has good compression,,,, The reeds are the polini ones i got with the 70 kit and they seem fine, no damage on them, It just sounds like something is broken inside tbh.... fook knows what though havnt taken it apart that far yet

Bottom end bearings maybe? and check the stator/magneto and seems quite plausible that its the ignition coil
