he did didnt think that wud make a difference he had 5.2 and put in 4.2 malossi rollers still bogged reallly bad cudnt even move it, getting way to much air so how do ppl stop the bogging down
your rollers are too heavy on a rox they should be nearer to the 4 mark not much for than 4.5 usually especially with the pipe youve got try 3,5 and 4's gap your plug like dave said it should be .65mm on a minarelli horizontal engine plug type: BR8HS/B8HS have you done a plug test since youve modified the engine? dont bother with a filter they cost your more money and time and hassle trust me on this one, the stock box is better, to get a little deeper sound pull the long tubular rubber out the box next to the inlet pipe I get around 30-40 less miles to the gallon with a k+n, which, if you dont work will piss you off in no time i bet unless mammy and daddys been paying for the fuel bills ofcourse
this is the plug tht i brought is it the wrong 1: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :IT&ih=002 and btw before my iridium sparkplug i had a ngk br6hs
i beleive the malossi kit needs a longer plug so the BR8ES is the one you want and irridium is more money than its worth.
lol so i have got tht iridium plug for nothing and i will buy that br8es will tht stop the spluttering thanks
wobbly i just looked on scooter-attack where i got my kit from and in the spare parts section i says this plug: Spark Plug NGK (short-threaded) B8HS (W3AC) is that right or wrong plug cos if am getting another plug!! then i want the right 1 if u no wt a meen lol
Drill some wholes in it , nearer the top, more prone to water if not did mine last night, makes it alot better
Can't say im an expert on on airfilters, just when i started bike without airbox on it ran sweet, with it , it bogged down.. so it was just common knowledge to know it was bogging due to air. Can't help ya on the e5 filter matey
ok well anywyas this spark plug can anybody else with a malossi sport kit tell me what spark plug they have thanks
BR8ES NGK R is what I am using on my 70 kit. I was thinking about getting a BR9ES as my bike loves to eat spark plugs.... :wtf: But I think I am going to try out the Iridium plugs. See if they last longer.
ok i have just bought a br8hs spark plug from a scooter shop it is deffo the right plug but it is still pluttery and power has been lost, and throttle response it seriously bad i full throttle and it takes about 2 seconds to move not happy at all. ok people so what is the next stage 2 check out
BR8HS is short reach I think. Im using a long reach plug and it is running fine now. Take the plug out and say what color it is. Also have you checked to see if your jets are blocked? You are better off keeping your air box as the weather is so unpredictable
your using a long reach oh tthe person said i needed a short reach but it isnt the spark plug as i had along reach iridium plug and it was still pluttery i will check for blocked jets it does feel as thou it isnt getting enough fuel thorughthats why power is lost and its spluttery thanks
