well been used to my bike for ages now and its starting to show wear gearbox is dead , loosing compression . i think i took it to its 50 limits , so now the time calls for a new engine , keeping the standard crank getting budget 70 kit , 17 carb, malossi variator , thinking of flowing it aswell . as for now i have started to do some painting to make it look nicer because the halfords paint was crap and started peeling . hope you like
Good work! Nice scoot. Keep the pics coming, I'm interested in the mods to the engine, so I'm watching with intrest!
Looks smart! Halfords paint is normally sound as I know a few people who have used it, if it's peeling it's more than likely to be down to the prep of the panel. Engine mods sound interesting you'll definitely see a change in it and won't look back!
broke open my new 50 quid engine to find a nearly new malossi 70 kit on it ported and everything , and found a nice aftermarket crank cant wait to break this out
Find somewhere local that does powder coating etc, find out how much it is to have your cases shot blasted. Should only be cheap and should come out looking sweet. :good:
been working long and hard on my engine today got the old engine out and the new one in , decided to wire brush the old one wasnt going for anything special because i just want to see how it runs first , got some pictures of the old engine and the new one can anybody tell me what crank it is ?? i have no clue
CM Super Competition crank. Looks like someone has had some fun with a malossi sport kit and added a couple of exhaust boost ports.
thinking of expanding the exhaust port on the 50 because compared to the 70 the post is tiny , 70 has to go soon but keeping it for a few days and keeping the crank in
Looks like it's coming together really nicely! Make sure you keep it all updated, especially with any modification to the 50. :good:
