Hi forum. I'm rebuilding my son's '07 Aerox LC which has been leaking coolant into the cylinder. I'm putting on a new head since I assume the old one was warped. The thing is: when I took the engine apart, there was no head gasket. And according to the service manual, there shouldn't be one, see image. But in the gasket kit I ordered, there was a nice copper gasket included. So now I'm a bit confused. I've rebuilt other engines designed not to use gaskets, so that wouldn't be a surprise. But the fact is that the engine has leaked, and there has also been a bit of blowover, and when I look at the two rubber o-rings for the water, they're thick enough to accommodate a copper gasket for the sleeve/chamber. So – does the engine want the copper gasket or not?
