As embarrassing as it sounds I have no real idea how to check! Is it literally: Get to the carb Unscrew the screws holding the float bowl Unscrew jet and check size
Had a look today, found the jet was stamped 86! I pretty sure thats ridiculously high, for a bike with the standard air box. I've done some research and found 68/70, SHOULD be perfect for my bike.
But now I face the problem of what type of jet to buy? The jet in it doesn't look like a gurtner jet, but more like a delloroto jet. Does anyone have any help?
I know find my results were irrelevant. It seems old Aeroxs with manual chokes have the main jet 86 as standard. So the bike has been running lean for quite some time I guess. GUNS you were right, don't trust previous owners! Does anyone know what type of jets I'll need? And is it right me saying I need around a 95/96 size jet? Thanks, any help will be very much appreciated! Also sorry for posting every 5 minutes hahah.
I'd buy a box of jets, Could be anywhere from 94+ no 100% way to tell without trying different ones. It's either a gutner jet or a 5mm dellorto if i'm right, should tell you what you need from the make of carb ?
Its a delly, its stamped phbn12 on the side. Im gona try have a quick look at the thread andtry measure it as best i can lol.
