engines are engines, experience is exactly that. these engines are pritty simple as far as 2t production go's... so ye, knowing a scooter engine inside out is nothing on knowing 2t principles backwards.

yeah understanding it all is the major part

oh hopefully start it up today

have the inner rotor in there
i am using a relay to earth the ignition
so when you turn the key off the relay will go to ground and shut the bike down

Much better then having a kill switch on the bike
I will also put in a switch in the seat area to bypass that system as well since if my battery is flat and it cant turn the relay on then i will not be abe to start the bike

Well i was trying to start it today
but i have a shitty hpi inner rotor and there marks on the flywheel mean nothing
dont bother going to there website the info is wrong
So i am going to time it with a battery drill on the variator nut
However i need some one else to help me as im out of hands
I guess its my fault i shouldhave learnt when i was dealing with there jetski ignitions

    Fuck i hate crap companies

can you not simply roll the piston to tdc put the flywheel on and mark the position of the pickup?

yeah i can get to tdc
but the ignition doesnt have a clear pick up on the outer but
and it doenst have a lump on the flywheel ethier

it runs a reference angle of 70 degrees
but the dual magnets on the flywheel are 110 degrees in length

these isnt a clear part to set up

    ok wel got it running
still have to bleed up brakes etc and wire up the ignition correctly

    but you get an idea
I put it in the ground and it just wanted to leap the back wheel off the ground when i gassed it
    its going to be nuts
Yes its a crap vid i was holding cam in one hand and trying not to have it jump around as i was reving it
    this was only 1/2 throttle

    me to
i love the sound of it
When you hit the throttle it just rips
The pic i am showing is only at about 1/2 throttle and i fattened the mixture up because i ddont know what its going to respond like in regards to jetting

well i took it for a spin today
    it powerstands nicely
ended up with a 92 jet
the 90 was to high on the egt and 95 to low

ended up with the clip one higher than std to give more midrange fuel

The clutch is coming in at 6500 which is an issue because the pipe start to go from 9500 - 11500
i have a delta sitting here i need to put in and will do so over the next few days

I will make it come in at about 8500 this should really get it to lift that front wheel

set the clutch to bite 500rpm above the staert of the powerband.. holds better at low speeds and makes it less snappy... get a little movment befor its ripping the wheel in the air that way. just much better and actually quuicker as your not dumping all the throttle to get the front down ;)
sure you will figure it out, cant watch vids at work.. no sound

ok sweet i will try that

I ended up going in roller weight and getting a massive gain in aceleration

im up to 5 gram now but i htink i am going to go higher again is seems to really like it

The scoot is winding well off the clock now and pulls lmonos off the line
you actually have to hang over the front now if you want to go for it off the line

well got my finial order into scooter centre
got some more variator stuff coming to help that to run smoother

    then its done

May worry about the plastics afterwards but want this thing just perfect in the mechanicals first

    hey man,
How do you find getting stuff off scooter centre.....

what is the delivery time to aus? etc.....

is it much cheaper than getting it from an aussie shop like GPS imports?
