Hello, I'm new to this forum because I can't find the right answer on my native scooter forum. I have an Aerox with a Minarelli Horizontal engine with following setup: - Polini Evo 3 70cc (squish 0.45~0.5 // NGK BR9ES) - Dellorto 21mm (W7 needle ~ Main jet 82 ~ original airfilter with snorkle removed) - Stage 6 V-force - Yasuni C20 - Polini Rotor with light coils (4,5 mm ignition advance) - Malossi overrange (3,5gram, I don't know what system is used here, I use metric system weights) - Stage 6 torque control - Stage 6 13/43 gearing The problem with this setup is that it stutters at 1/4 throttle, it sounds as if it gets too much fuel? This is the transition between the pilot jet and the main jet, you may be able to improve it by adjusting the height of the needle. try raising the clip 1 grove.
@Mr Bizzle The clip is already at the top grove.. But thanks for the advice! @Jonnymarrw00t The original crank has been replaced by a Doppler Endurance Racing crankshaft, I'm not THAT crazy to run this setup on a stock crank The jet is mentioned in the starting post ~ 82 main jet
mine also does the same i have a 21mm del carb 92main jet the air/fuel mixture screw 1 and a half turns out and still splatters oh and 70kit malossi
Is this with stock air filter? In my case it could be the airbox, as Jonnymarrw00t stated. My 21mm was delivered with pilot jet 50, I will try a smaller pilot next week, since the pilot jet functions up to 1/4 throttle...
This seems to be a common issue with 70 kits and bigger carbs, setting up the main jet is okay but setting up the pilot jet and in partiicular the transition stage is a right bitch.
I found by slowly pulling the throttle back gets throw it so I don’t think it’s worth a shot on lifting it up one or down jet the pilot jet Shane user bizzle not about no more Administrator if you see this what do you think ? Cheers
