malossi CDIs are great for highly tuned bikes, ported 172, 25-28mm carb, matched cases, pm pipe etc... but for a pipe and a bore i would save my money for a carb or spend it on a crank, mains and seals to ensure the bottom end will last.

malossi cdis are for when you rev to 10k rpm (this is when the standard cdi rev limiter is at.

you have to port the bike to produce power at higher revs to make any use of the cdi.. useless with most pipes also. does make a difference on well tuned bikes tho altho some good tuners dont touch em as they have conflicting opinions about them. ether way they do advance the ignition more and dont have any kind of limit.
