    It looks like stage6 run through there pistons like no tommorow ! Think twice about stage6 go for a malossi or polini and yes 2 rings :cool:[/quote]

    just to let u no this kit blew up once, due to not being set up right or looked after, nobody said these pistons were from this kit, theyre from about 10 differwent other bikes ive rebuilt, a 70 kit lasts as long as u allow it, if you look after it, itll look after you.

    I live in workington mate, not far from you at all. My kid brother lives in carlisle actually. You may have seen him, he works on the computer game section in zavvi, has really long black dreadlocks.

    i know its off topic but what is needed to look after a 70 kit? opening it up once in a while to make sure no scores on barrel etc?

    warming it up, using good oil, making sure the engine is setup PROPERLY etc etc

    How do you make sure its set up properly? Is that something us n00bs can do?

    your not a noob mate, u have the capacity to learn lol, gotta start somewhere.

    setting up can be a bitch at times if u don't know how to listen to your engine tbh, so if somethings not right u can go ahhh needs a slight turn on the mixture screw, or ohhh need a stiffer contra spring etc. its all trial and error really, but if ur able to learn and understand basic things u shouldnt have a problem.

    hope that made sence, i find it hard to put my thoughts into words :rofl:

    there is an engine glossary nockin about somwhere explaning the parts and all there functions.. google how: then whatever you want explaning.. general running principle is there.. the how stuff works site should explain it.. if your still REALLY not getting it walk away, come back to it in a bit an think think think
