70 kit usually means twice the power.... if youve added a pipe and carb to a 50 (variator's dont make power) then you will add a couple bhp, but this is again doubled when you fit a 70 kit

you would need ALOT of bits to keep up with a bike wiht a 70 and a pipe setup right.. fact is its not just a bit smaller, stock kits are REALLY REALLY REALLY shit. if yours is going really well, id say its close to dead, 2t's get really fast befor they blow up LOL

Double power on an iron kit with a wank pipe and standard carb?? Maybe with a decent pipe, carb and setup perfectly with a mid-race kit. But I cant see an iron kit doubling power unless its got the perfect pipe and carb to match, would probably need a little minor magic on the cases and cylinder.

Its not neally dead its brand new, if it was almost dead back then, then she would be gone now. It will start right now if I went and fired it up, even when being left for days on end it will still start first time aslong as theres battery.

So I must be doing something right, because the polini sport 70kit I had before lasted near on 10,000miles... And if I re-fitted it, it would still run because it was running when I changed to the malossi, yeh it looked tired but im sure theres another 1 or 2k miles left.

Its a nice and reliable, low revving setup that isent extreamly fast (well certainly NOT double the power) and its quiet, mot'ists and police never clock on.

erm, you need to think about your numbers again,

commonly quoted power figures. a moped is a MAXIMUM of 3.5bhp. do you really think adding a pipe and carb is gonna make lots and lots of power? its the ONLY thing you can really add to make power, everything else just makes better use of it (bar setting squish, reed thickness and other setup to get the best of those parts alone

an iron kit is 6bhp minimum... with the stock pipe, blah blah, wiht a pipe and all the other mods you mention, your getting DOUBLE the gains for each part from the 70 that you would from the 50 (as your manipulating and fueling a bigger engine) so with a 70 over a 50 everything IS worth twice the ammount.

stock kits suck, you need to think a little more about what makes power, and what makes you go fast. HUGE difference as far as parts selection (as in, if its a part that makes power, or a part that just makes use of the power)
