So ended up buying a full engine off ebay, its a 16 plate typhoon engine with 833 miles on the clock. All done and dusted.

Had a quick look in the head then couldn't be bothered looking any further, got that engine you suggested, got him down to £240 and it took me 40 mins to collect. So all in all not a bad bike now, virtually brand new engine.

Nice job, looks a cool little bike that, the bodywork suits the style of the bike in my eyes and the being a pit bike at the TT thing gives it a little extra kudos. Good luck with the sale and I hope you make a well deserved profit.

Cheers mate, decided to keep it now for the summer, great little run around. Here is my other aprilia.

Very nice! My first bike was an Aprilia RS125 and always used to think the 250's must be amazing. Yours looks stunning and original!

Exactly like me when i was 17, had a brand new rs125 in that colour scheme and always wanted the rs250 but went the 600 route for a few years but always loved the 2 strokes, this popped up 4 years ago low mileage and standard with the arrow pipes, 2 owners i had to have it :D
