    i was pulled in a car at 6am on my way to go racing....avarage copper.. seemed to know a fair bit. remember police do this day in day out. its OLD news to coppers now altho its new to you. theyve seen illegally modded scooters for over 40 years now. its if they can be botherd to do you for it. or if you give them lip. there will always be one smarmy role crazy bastard and you might get him pull you.

    brilliant advice haha!

    thing with a lot of scooters these days, especially chinese ones ive found, they come derestricted! a lot of my friends scooters will go 40-45 standard! and its no fault of their own, lots of people i know havent touched their bike it just goes the speed it goes from standard!

    and thats a good way of getting yourself out of shit anyway, just say you got it like that and your trying to get it looked at to see if its derestricted or not but you dont think it is etc.

    I've decided to just buy a scooter, and if it is de-restricted then I'll leave it that way. If see a police car stick to 30, and keep the bike tidy so they have no reason.

    Where did you all buy your scooters? I've been looking on eBay where there seems to be some good prices but when I look in Bike Trader there 2-300 more than on eBay.

    ebay is usually cheaper than the bike-trader.. but i got mine localy .. from a m8's sisters boyfreind :confused:arc: .. think thats it lol

    best to get one from friends of friends.. runner 50 went for 40 quid the other day not far from me. just get to know the local ped boys and you will find a bargain...

    bit late, but what minor said basically. i ran a de-rezzed derbi 50, got pulled a couple of times for no particular reason, all they seemed bothered about was tread on the tyres and a valid liscence. then i had the area51, pulled countless times, that's de-rezzed, malossi bits the lot, never queried, got accused of having illegal indicators though. factory standards eh!

    just keep your L's and don't wheelie everywhere and you will be fine.
