Will get some for you later on mate, gunna have to buy a new rear light because the paint has reacted and the masking tape has peeled off the chrome where the light reflects :/ anyone fancy donating me a standard rear light? Or even another lexus light haha

 

Got some pics as requested of the smoked indicators, not the best pics becasue BlackBerry cameras are shite,



I quite like them because they're something different, and just clear lenses look a bit chavvy IMO

They are so easy to do, just remove the one screw holding the lense on, mask off the bulb & around the silver indicator surround, and spray, satin black worked well for me

Also did the headlights which look really good too IMO



Also did the silver foot panels, as they looked a bit chavvy aswel


Finally, the pug looking a bit sorry for itself waiting for its rebuild to get finished

 

Not much progress with this, my full gasket sets been delivered and waiting on a spark plug getting delivered

Have done a bit of work on the front panel as one of the previous owners either cut or snapped off the bit where the upper grille should mount to, so I saw it as an oppourtunity to smooth the upper grille into the front:



Just waiting on the filler to set then will get it sanded off and sprayer, going with a red and black colour scheme, which should look really good when its finished

And while I was in the garage I thought I might aswel give the exhaust a bit of a clean up and shine



Cleaned all the much and bunt on crap off it using Mr Muscle oven cleaner, left on for 20 mins and lifted all of it off, gave it a wash then just used a little bit of Brasso to give it a shine and has come up really well

This is what I do when I get bored haha, just tidyin it up a bit and refreshin the look for when its finally running again, and waiting for the filler to dry I've started painting the walls of my garage haha

 

Just removed the stupid heavy snake lock, weighs a bloody tonne, less weight = more speeeeed

 

hahah nice! are you going to paint with compressor or spray can?

 

Compressor matey, been doing the rest of it with a spray can but wanna really good finish on the body work

 

Little bit more progress on the beast, been filling panels to be smoothed off then painted:



And need suggestions now, now that I have taken the snake lock off, theres a hold in the rear panel that used to be filled by it and the surround, which isn't lost its misplaced, so does anyone know what I could do to over come it? I was thinking of some fine black mesh with a red LED strip behind it.

what the hell is a snake lock?? and you mean to fill a hole with something??

 

Its a lock that speedfights have, basically like a locking chain but its built in and heavy as fook, and more sort of blank it off, wanna do something with it different than filling it some how

fill and smooth the panels yourself its cheap and easy to im currently working on mine all the panels have been filled and is currently in primer stage
