the fuel was sticking to the crank as i kicked it with carb and reeds of so put a rag onto crank through where reads sit and kicked it till rag...
playing with the carb had it at an angle in the manifold didnt realize there was fuel dripping through and left it while i ate lunch sorted now tho
wanna get this project finished soon :) ran into a bit of trouble today when was playing with the manifold/carb :O after a few hours head...
the fact you don't know suggests its an over the top safety feature :D so i can live without it (thought most stems would have em) but basically...
this has cost 3 quid so far for the piece of ally i bought which was twice the size of what im using here and think the epoxy was about 4 quid but...
okay i will give that a try i googled it and there are some specialist rubber to metal glues so might have to try one of those however after...

so i bought a cheap aerox stem in the hopes it would fit or be close to fitting and when it arrived i measured everything up with a vernier...
heres the pics unfortunately the epoxy didn't do a very good job of holding the rubber in place :( any suggestions on a specialist glue ?
sorted went with an aerox stem and modified it slightly will try and put pics on later :D for anyone interested
