I was thinking the same may be the brass switch might be worn or sticking, cheap and easy to replace start there first the actual brakes...
^^Above is a good idea, I got my replacement rec quite cheap, but flasher units is another way to do it
My zip ended up doing this turns out the flasher unit is built into the Recitifier, can't say its the same on yours but if your struggling to find...

anything can take out an engine mate, some people choose to fit new mechanical pumps and some people choose to fit electric pumps, its upto you...
Yes mate its the device the moves the liquid that cools the engine, the standard part is mechanical and is driven off the engine, an electric pump...

its the best way mate, I can afford to commute by car but I don't see the point when I'm only transporting me when its rebuilt I then don't have...
