90-100 is good. Less than that does work but makes it more difficult to get started. Its not unusual to need new rings at that kind of mileage....

The switches and the plugs that go into them are different and there's no beam switch
Piaggio usually do theirs with 3 digit codes so you aren't far off. It's probably just the pain in the arse that is finding new panels for old...
There should still be the shaft (as you always need the big cog and the belt even just for the oil pump) but it just won't have the water pump on...
Difference is inside the cases so hard to say really Hexagons were the ones that came with those side cases though and I think they might have...
