just ask them to find the fault, alot of the times they will try find the fault for free.. and tell you what it is.. if so we hey just fix it...
you never use a multi meter to check if a cdi is working. the low amps/current that a multi meter lets out can fry the unit.

i wouldn't even mess with the roller side of things. if i were to do anything buy a malossi variator or something. less risk.
